Ms. Swaen, 76, of Toms River, died Feb. 23, 2012, at home. She had been a resident of the Easter Seals Manchester Group Home, Toms River, since 2005. One of her passions was to volunteer for local churches and her community. She was the 2010 recipient of the New Jersey Association of Care Providers Community Star Award. Surviving are four siblings, Paul Swaen of Jackson, Margaret Neumann of Greenbrook, Jim Swaen of Littleton, Colo., and Mildred Beida of Tuckerton; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the Easter Seals Lacey Site, Forked River. Arrangements were under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
