Princeton Township
A resident of the 900 block of Princeton-Kingston Road reported burglary and theft between 10 p.m. on March 4 to 7 a.m. on March 5. Electronics and cash totaling approximately $5,500 were reported stolen.
The fire department and police responded to a heavy smoke condition at Bon Appetit at 301 North Harrison Street in the Princeton Shopping Center on March 8 at 12:30 a.m. The smoke condition was allegedly caused by food being left in the oven, causing damage in the restaurant in addition to Jordan’s Card store. Officials said both stores would be closed until the damage is cleaned up.
Plainsboro
John Bingel, 20, of New Milford, Conn., Johnathan Glover, 19, of Plainsboro, Paul Trujillo, 18, of Plainsboro, a female juvenile of Princeton Junction and two male juveniles of Plainsboro were charged with trespassing at the Meadows of Middlesex Golf Course on March 2 at 9:03 p.m. In addition to trespassing, Mr. Bingel was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and Mr. Glover was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. One male juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Bingel was sent to the Middlesex County jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.
Jorge Mocha-Paltin, 38, of East Windsor, was charged with fraudulent documents after he allegedly displayed a fraudulently altered temporary registration on College Road on March 5 at 8:46 a.m. He was also issued summonses for offering a false instrument for filing, unclear plates, unregistered vehicle and obstruction of windshield.
Montgomery
Taylor M. Fern, 21, of Skillman, was charged with driving while intoxicated on March 7 at 4:48 p.m. He also received summonses for careless driving, unregistered motor vehicle and no front license plate.
Lawrence
Jamaree Hudson, 18, of Trenton, was charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverages and having an open container of alcohol beverages in a car at 9:03 p.m. March 3. He was released on a summons.
Jonell E. Ross, 28, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting clothing worth $480.50 at Macy’s at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 3:21 p.m. March 1. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on outstanding warrants and released after posting bail.
The Crab Shack on Princeton Avenue was burglarized and 15 small bags of potato chips were taken from the store, which was entered between 7 p.m. Feb. 29 and 7:27 a.m. March 1. The burglars broke the glass door to gain entry.
Medical equipment and a medical textbook, valued at a combined $1,100, were stolen from a medical office on Franklin Corner Road between Nov. 15 and noon Feb. 28. There were no signs of forced entry.
Mark S. Walters, 43, of Ewing Township, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain his car’s lamps, failure to maintain his lane, reckless driving, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving under the influence within 1,000 feet of a school zone on Brunswick Pike and Spruce Street at 1:05 a.m. Feb. 28.
A Rosedale Road resident reported the theft of one box of compact discs, worth an estimated $100, from his unlocked garage between 1:49 p.m. and 1:54 p.m. Feb. 27.
A leaf blower and an assortment of alcoholic beverages, worth $420, were taken from an unlocked garage at a Lumar Road home between 9 a.m. Feb. 17 and 2 p.m. Feb. 24.
A Toshiba laptop computer belonging to a Rider University student was reported stolen from the countertop in the ladies room at Daley’s Dining Hall between 2:05 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. Feb. 24. It was valued at $300.
A Lawrence resident reported the theft of an Apple iPhone from her pocketbook that she had left in a storage bin while she was playing laser tag at the Colonial Bowling and Entertainment Center between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Feb. 25. It was valued at $250.
