Elizabeth J. Olszewski
Mrs. Olszewski, 79, who lived most of her life in Keansburg, died Feb. 27, 2012, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Her family opened and operated Cameron’s Keansburg Florist. She was the proprietor and the second generation in her family to operate the shop, which has been passed down to the third generation. Mrs. Olszewski was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Olszewski, in 2010; a sister, Barbara Linde; and a son-in-law, William Marks. Surviving are her children, Richard Olski and his wife, Pat, of River Edge, Patricia Marks of Keansburg, Thomas Olski and his wife, Brenda, of Jackson, and Michael Olski of Middletown; a brother, James Cameron and his wife, Karen, of Texas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, Keansburg. Interment followed at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hazlet. Arrangements were under the direction of the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet.
Eugene Paul Richards
Mr. Richards, 80, of Middletown and formerly of Aberdeen, died March 7, 2012, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was the proprietor of Deli Boy, a local deli in Keyport, for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Richards is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine S. Silasi Richards; his children, Paul Richards and his wife, Susan, of Matawan, Glenn Richards and his wife, Jodi, of Jackson, and Michelle O’Brien and her husband, Frank, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a brother, Charles Richards of Detroit; three sisters, Florence, Ruth and her husband, Adam, and Betty Henja and her husband, Edward, of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson. A prayer service and flag presentation with military honors was held at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
Daniel J. “Jim” Kerr Jr.
Mr. Kerr, 83, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died March 8, 2012. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the KoreanWar. Prior to retiring, he worked for E.I. DuPont in Sayreville for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary “Peggy” Kerr; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Mary-Jayne Kerr of Sayreville and Jack and Elizabeth Kerr of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James C. Bush Jr. of Mansfield Center, Conn.; a sister, Mary Silensky of South Amboy; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services were held at the Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
