Township
A resident of the first block of Preservation Place reported burglary to a motor vehicle between 10 p.m. on March 11 and 8 a.m. March 12. She said someone allegedly entered her car and went through the glove compartment and trunk area. No loss was reported.
Nicole Gabauer, 21, of Princeton, was arrested on a charge of having an active warrant for $1,000 out of Freehold Township on State Road on March 9 at 8:08 p.m. She was also issued a summons for driving with an expired driver’s license.
Daniel S. Ferlisi, 29, of East Windsor, was arrested on charges of having an active traffic warrant out of East Windsor in the amount of $500 and having an expired driver’s license on Great Road on March 13 at 11:55 a.m. He also received several other traffic summonses.
Richard L. Schild, 56, of Princeton, and Ching C. Chen, 51, of Montgomery, were involved in an accident involving a bicyclist on Rosedale Road near Greenway Meadows Park on March 10 at 3:25 p.m. The accident occurred when Mr. Schild’s car and Mr. Chen’s bicycle collided. Mr. Chen was sent to the University Medical Center at Princeton. No summonses were issued at the scene pending further investigation
Justin Perona, 18, of Runnemede, was arrested on a charge of having two active warrants for his arrest on Valley Road on March 12 at 12:49 p.m.
West Windsor
Nicole K. Schifano, 24, of Hamilton, was charged with four counts of shoplifting at Target in the Nassau Park Retail Center between Feb. 29 and March 10.
Srivasta Kota, 33, of Princeton Junction, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 571 at Clarksville Road on March 8 at 11:33 p.m. Mr. Kota also received summonses for maintenance of lamps, obstructed view, failure to use signal and reckless driving.
Laura Basara, 42, of Pitman, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Old Meadow Road on March 8 at 10:49 p.m. She also received summonses for failure to use signal, failure to stop, failure to exhibit drivers license and improper turn.
Enrique M. Pezo, 49, of Nutley, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Old Meadow Road on March 8 at 11 p.m. He also received summonses for reckless driving and alcohol test refusal.
Montgomery
Kurt Kugel, 22, of Lexington, Mass., was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia at Mill Pond Park on March 13 at 8:35 p.m.
Plainsboro
Police responded to a report of aggravated assault between two Quail Ridge Drive residents in the parking lot of building 46 at Ravens Crest Drive on March 13 at 9:44 p.m. Police said they observed two highly intoxicated males with facial injuries. Plainsboro Rescue Squad treated the residents and they were sent to the hospital.
A manager of Brittany Estates reported a Thoreau Drive resident complained about fireworks being used on March 13. The manager found the used fireworks on the tennis courts of Brittany Estates the morning the report was made. The case is under investigation by the Plainsboro police.
A 8-year-old boy resident of Aspen Drive who was found 15 feet from shore and chest deep in mud behind along the muddy shores of Cedar Brook on March 14 at 6 p.m. pulled to safety by rescuers using a lifesaving ring. The boy was evaluated by EMS and later released into the custody of a guardian.
Serv Behavioral Health reported burglary and theft of prescription drugs at Building 14, Hunters Glen Drive, between 9 p.m. on March 13 and 7:30 a.m. on March 14. A reported $4,866.12 worth of prescription drugs, a $20 lockbox and $40 in cash were reported stolen.
Richard Brown, 25, of Woodbridge, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated on Route 1 on March 14 at 11:55 p.m. He was also issued summonses for maintenance of lamps, reckless driving and failure to report change of address.
Jermahm M. McCree, 30, of Plainsboro, was arrested on warrants for obstruction and resisting arrest at Hunters Glen Drive on March 10 at 5:09 p.m. After exiting his vehicle, Mr. McCree allegedly ignored commands to return to the vehicle and became combative when police prevented him from accessing the vehicle via the passenger side. He was also issued summonses for failure to wear a seatbelt and tinted windows. Mr. McCree was sent to Middlesex County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.
