Progressive Dinner fundraiser March 24

   New Jersey and Pennsylvania local businesses, Delaware River Mill Society members and friends are combining resources for the continued preservation efforts of the Prallsville Mills Complex in Stockton.
   T he Delaware River Mill Society, a private nonprofit organization responsible for the historic Prallsville Mills complex, is sponsoring the annual Progressive Dinner fundraising event on March 24.
   Tickets for the full evening are $100 per person or just for the cocktail hour or deserts for $50. Event tickets are available by contacting the Mill Society at 609-397- 3586 or e-mailing [email protected].
   This evening of gourmet food and music is a true community event and there is still time to join the fun.
   The evening offers an exceptional and memorable dinning experience for a tax-deductible donation that supports the historic mill complex, a resource and asset for the Delaware River region.
   ”The support for this annual event is truly heart-warming,” said DRMS President Stephanie Jones.
   This year’s event has 12 sites hosting dinners.
   The evening begins in the Prallsville Saw Mill with cocktails and catered hors d’oeuvres by owner Kelly Hamden of Chez Alice from her new retail space in Pennington. Peter McCrohan owner of Shoppons Run Farm, Stockton, is donating the flowers for the evening’s events in the Saw Mill and Grist Mill.
   Brillmans Rental Barn, of Newtown, is providing the elegant table settings for cocktails, dinners at the Mill Complex buildings and deserts and dancing offered at the historic complex.
   After cocktails in the Saw Mill, the event attendee’s progress to private homes and Mill site buildings for dinners.
   Michael Hagerty and Gabriele Hamilton will host a dinner in the Mill’s 1850s River House. The Prall House, the historic Carriage Shed, eight private homes of Mill Society members and Jerry Cable’s Art Studio, located in Stockton, will provide the additional dinner locations.
   Giuseppe Finazzo and Katherine Wytovich, owners of Via Ponte Ristorante of Stockton, is providing the dinners at Jerry Cable’s Studio. Bob Kascik, owner and chef of BBQ & Comfort Food, New Hope, and Emily’s Catering, of Pennington, will cater the dinners served at the two additional historic buildings at the Prallsville Mills complex. Dinners served in private homes will be cooked by the hosts.
   Live music and desserts will conclude the evening at the Grist Mill.
   Desserts will be provided by an array of local restaurants, including Zsuzsi Rayner Catering and Brother’s Moon, of Hopewell.
   As an extension of the Progressive Dinner, artist Jerry Cable is offering a 20 percent donation to the Mill Society from the purchase of any of his artwork purchased on March 24 or March 25.
   ”Every aspect of this event is donated, making the full price of the event ticket a tax- deductible donation to the Delaware River Mill Society,” explained DRMS Executive Director Edie S. Sharp.
   Each year community members donate to this cause by offering, in creative ways, the wide range of talents the Delaware River region offers.
   All who donate to the evening’s activities receive free advertising space in the 2012 Progressive Dinner program.
