Five camps in June, July, and August
will deliver an assortment of righteous rock experiences
School of Rock Princeton has announced the camps that they will hold in the summer months of 2012.
“We’re gearing our summer camps to appeal to a variety of tastes, from the catchy melodies of The Beatles to the tooth-grinding shred of extreme metal,” says Mike Vlaanderen, general manager of School of Rock Princeton.  “While the theme for each camp will vary, the emphasis will be the same:  fun, energy, and fist-pumping loudness!”
School of Rock Princeton’s summer camp schedule is as follows:
BLACK SABBATH (6/25 to 6/29)
In this one week program, campers will learn songs by the founding fathers of heavy metal, Black Sabbath.
MEET THE BEATLES (7/9 to 7/13)
In this one week program, campers will learn and perform some of the greatest hits of one of the biggest and most influential groups of all time:  The Beatles.
GET THE LED OUT (7/16 to 7/20 and 7/23 to 7/27)
In this two week program, campers will get their hands on Zep’s most important and classic anthems.
OZZFEST (7/30 to 8/3)
In this one week program, campers will shred music by bands that have performed on the world famous Ozzfest tours, including Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Slayer, Judas Priest, Black Label Society, Marilyn Manson, and more.
5 DAYS OF DAVE GROHL (8/6 to 8/10)
In this one week program, campers will rock out to an assortment of songs by the many bands of Dave Grohl, including Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Tenacious D, and more.
“Each of our camps will provide young musicians with a hands-on atmosphere where they’ll learn performance techniques and the art of being in a rock band,” explains Vlaanderen.  “Workshops will include private and group lessons on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or vocals; music theory; rehearsal techniques; performance practice; and group band rehearsals.  On the last day of each camp, campers will perform the songs that they learned during the week in a rock show, on stage in front of a live audience.”
Parents who enroll their kids in School of Rock Princeton’s summer camps before April 1 will receive a 15% early sign-up discount.  Special savings are also available for multiple camp week sign-ups.  Parents of new students who sign up for a camp week will receive 50% savings off of the first month of Rock 101 or Performance Program tuition.
All camps will be held at School of Rock Princeton, 3570 Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.  For more information, contact Mike at 609-890-7090 or visit Princeton.schoolofrock.com/local-camps
