MANVILLE: Community calendar for week of March 22

March 23-25
   High school drama production: “Nunsense: The Mega Musical,” will be presented at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the high school on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. A senior citizens’ luncheon will be held at noon Sunday in the cafeteria.
Sun., March 25
   Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Manville-Hillsborough Elks BPOE 2119, 1500 Brooks Blvd., Hillsborough. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, as well as pancake breakfast, including eggs, sausage, bacon, juice and coffee. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children, free for children under 3.
Tues., March 27
   School budget hearing: 7 p.m. in the media center of ABIS, North 13th Avenue.
Wed., March 28
   Pizza with school administrators: Parents of Weston, Roosevelt, ABIS, and high school students are invited to join the School District Administrators for pizza and open dialogue from 5:30- 7 p.m. in the ABIS Media Center. The event is for parents only.
March 31-April1
   Bake sale and butter lamb sale: Sponsored by Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society at the church at South Main and Filak streets. Saturday and Sunday before and after the weekend Masses, beginning with 6 p.m. Saturday Mass.. 725-0072.
Wed., April 4
   Superintendent’s evaluation: The Board of Education will meet in closed session at 6 p.m. in the Alexander Batchko Intermediate School (ABIS) media center to discuss the performance evaluation of Superintendent Johanna Ruberto. No action will be taken.
Tues., April 10
   Family bowling: The Manville Education Foundation is sponsoring the spring break event at Ten Pin Lanes, 1 Rustic Mall, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. $15 per person includes bowling, pizza, beverage and prizes. Tickets can be purchased through each school office. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

   Lenten soup sale: Holy Ghost Church preparing meat-free soups on Fridays through April 6 for the benefit of the church. Soups, halushki and frozen pirohi will be available at the church at Roosevelt and 6th Avenue. Pickup is 4- 6 p.m. Soup is $8 per quart, halushki $6 per quart and frozen pirohi $6 per dozen.    Blood pressure checks: Second Thursday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., VFW.
   Entertainment books: Books filled with coupons for local shopping, meals, travel to be used throughout 2012 are on sale for $30 at the senior center, 20 So. 3rd Ave.. 908-526-0175.
   Public library book sale: Buy donated and surplus books to support the library. Non-sale hardcover books are 50 cents; soft-cover 25 cents each or by the bag for $2.
