On Sunday, March 4, the Manville recreation wrestlers wrestled in a Metuchen Tournament. The wrestlers came back with a lot of medals.
Dylan Whitenight was the star of the day, bringing home the gold medal. Dylan pinned his way to the finals and dominated the final match before pinning his opponent.
Timmy Whitenight won his first match, 9-0, and took home the silver medal. Chris Petrone took home another Manville silver medal. Nick Colombaroni dominated his first match, 12-1, to take the silver medal at his weight.
Brian Fisher, wrestling for his first time, started his career off with a pin to take home the silver medal.
Jack Lombardino pinned his way to the finals and took home the silver medal. Ethan Burlew dominated his first match before pinning his opponent and took home the silver medal.
Nick Lombardino won his final match, 11-2, to take home the bronze medal.
Justin Petti pinned in his final match to get a bronze medal. Jimmy Conover wrestled good enough to take home a bronze medal and Mike Summers, Tore Lombardino, Danny Lyons and Dominic DeSanto also came home with fourth-place medals.
The kids had a great day and will take what they learned this year to continue on in coming years.
