Read, Record, Replay: TASA Service Event

By Princeton Taiwanese American Students Association
The Taiwanese American Students Association (TASA) would like to invite you to participate in our new service project, “Read, Record, Replay,” which will take place on Friday, April 6, 2012 in Campus Club from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In the spirit of “Princeton in the TAService of all nations,” we are asking members of the Princeton community to either donate a gently used children’s book or buy one from us for $5. We will provide equipment to record them reading the book. Readers can then write a letter of encouragement in the book, and TASA will send the book, recording, and note to underprivileged children in rural Taiwan. We hope to provide an inspiration resource for kids learning English. Just as “The Little Engine that Could” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” brightened our childhoods, we hope to do the same for these children.
We would truly appreciate your support for this project, and we would love to see you on April 6 and have you record your favorite childhood book. We hope your involvement as a leader in the Princeton community will set the tone for our fellow students to help as well. Please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions. We hope to see you at Campus Club on April 6!
