(LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ): Debbie Schaeffer, President & CEO of Mrs. G TV & Appliances, is pleased to announce a partnership with Tom Caruso, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Trenton, for the recycling of appliances and kitchen cabinets.
Mrs. G’s customers can donate their old but working appliances as well as kitchen cabinets that have been removed to the Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore located at 106 Ewing St. in Trenton, NJ. Items that are donated to the ReStore will be offered to the public at a fraction of their retail value. A percentage of profits from the sales will be used to build houses for those in need.
“Mrs. G’s roots are in Trenton and my grandmother started it with a mission to give back to the community,” said Schaeffer. “This program will allow us to contribute in a tangible way to an organization that helps to change lives of families in our community.”
This program is also environmentally conscious. By donating their old appliances and cabinetry, homeowners are helping the environment by keeping the products out of landfills. Mrs. G’s is all about eco-friendly and energy efficiency and this is an easy way for customers to “go green” as well.
