March 30-April 1 The township Cultural Arts Commission presents its annual fine art and photography exhibit, which welcomes artists high school age and older. $4,000 in prizes, paid classical art apprenticeship and instructive art demonstrations.

Saturday, March 31 Hillsborough High School cheerleaders sponsor a breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s, 315 Route 206, from 8-10 a.m. Meal includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage. $8 per person.
Staff ensemble plays
for scholarship fund
Wednesday, April 4 The Hillsborough Grand Staff Ensemble of staff and friends of the school district will have its spring concert at 7 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School. Suggested donations: $5 adults, $2 students/seniors, $10 family. The concert will feature pop favorites under the direction of Nancy Ciacciarelli and Marc Angelone.

Temple Beth-El
to hold seder meal
Saturday, April 7 Reservations are needed by tomorrow, March 30, for the Passover seder at the Reform Temple Beth-El of Hillsborough, 67 Route 206 North, at 6:30 p.m.
Rabbi Arnold Gluck, Rabbi Elisa Koppel and Cantor Emily Pincus lead the seder on the second night of Passover. Enjoy a kosher Passover dinner catered by Lock Stock and Deli with an entree choice of chicken or brisket of beef. Tickets are $39 for age 13 and older, with no charge for children under age 13. a ‘Community Day’
Saturday, April 14 Hillsborough Democrats “Community Day” at Hillsborough Point Clubhouse on Render Drive. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Includes Obama for President caucus, local and state elected officials and candidates, voter information help desk, volunteer opportunities, afternoon panel discussions. Jackie Cornell-Bechelli, director of the state Obama campaign, will speak at 10:15 a.m.
’Lunch and learn’
about diabetes
Wednesday, April 18 The public is invited to a “lunch and learn” event on the prevention, detection and management of diabetes at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center at 395 Amwell Road. Complimentary lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. with program to follow from noon to 1 p.m. Dietician Rachna Singh of the Somerset Medical Center’s Diabetes Center, will speak.

RoboRaiders host
raffle, pasta dinner
Saturday, April 21 The RoboRaiders high school robotics team is having an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner and basket raffle at the Hillsborough Municipal building. 4-8 p.m. Adults, seniors, and children (under age 8) are $10, $7 and $5 respectively.
Flower arranger
coming to luncheon
Thursday, April 26 Neshanic Garden Club will host its spring luncheon at Harlingen Reformed Church, Route 206 and Dutchtown Road, Belle Mead, at noon. Deirdre Gross, National Garden Club’s Flower Arranger of the Year, will demonstrate designs for special occasions. $20 donation. To pre-register, call Barbara Devitt, 908-782-6595.

Dump tickets: Township annual clean-up dump tickets will be available through April 20. Details to be announced.
Summer program registration: The online system for the township public schools’ summer enrichment program is taking registrations on a first-come, first-served basis until March 30. Student passwords and user IDs for registration have been backpacked home. All students who live in Hillsborough and are entering grades transitional primary to eighth grade in September may enroll.

Alzheimer’s support group The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
