PromoVerse Prepares to Launch in Central NJ
New mobile app reshapes how you shop and see local businesses
Somerset, NJ (April 1, 2012) – PromoVerse a new mobile application that connects local businesses and local shoppers is preparing to launch in central New Jersey in mid-April. The location based application separates businesses by category and allows shoppers to view promotions and coupons directly on their Smartphone’s while they are shopping. Want something to eat? It’s easy just select the food category and all local restaurants will be listed from nearest to furthest based on the shoppers current location. Once a shopper finds a business they can select its profile and view the promotions, address, company description, website, phone number and even get directions to the store itself. Shoppers also have the option to put businesses they visit frequently into a favorites category so they can easy and readily access its information. Initially, the app will be available for all Iphone and Android Smartphone users.
Today, many Smartphone owners are using their mobile devices to make strategic purchase decisions whether it’s comparing prices, finding directions or trying to contact a business. The PromoVerse app will allow shoppers to get all that information in one easy to use and free mobile application. Shoppers can even link the app to their Facebook and Twitter accounts so they can share the deals they just snagged with their friends. Each time someone uses the app they are rewarded with PromoPoints. PromoPoints can be accumulated and cashed in for prizes including VIP access to local events and other cool items. Additionally, when shoppers share their experience online they are rewarded with extra PromoPoints. By rewarding shoppers for sharing their experience online through social media sites PromoVerse will help expose businesses to thousands of newsfeeds, timelines and profiles.
PromoVerse wants to bring shoppers back to local and independent businesses and away from large corporations and franchises. When a person shops at a local store nearly 70% of every dollar they spend stays within the community. This compares to only approximately 40% when shopping at a big box store or large franchise and almost nothing when shopping online. Consumers tend to overlook the importance of independent and local businesses due to the convenience and selection that big box stores can offer. With the PromoVerse app independent businesses will be able to show their selection, discounts and offers to give their customers the convenience that big box stores and franchises offer. PromoVerse works exclusively with independent local business and will assist them in making custom promotions that will draw shoppers back to their stores.
