Mr. Hayduk, 89, formerly of Middletown, died March 25, 2012, in Reston, Va. He flew 47 combat missions in World War II between 1943 and 1945, in both the B-24 and B-29 Bombers, as a bombardier and navigator. Mr. Hayduk also served in the Korean War, flying as the navigator in a B-29 Bomber. After the war, Mr. Hayduk was part of the Strategic Air Command until he retired in 1968 as a lieutenant colonel. After retiring from the military, he worked until his retirement as a title searcher in Freehold. Mr. Hayduk was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa R. Hayduk. Surviving are two sons, Ronald J. Hayduk and his wife, Suzanna Jones, and Kenneth R. Hayduk and his wife, Victoria Hayduk; six grandchildren; a sister, Verna Augustine; and a brother, Steve Hayduk. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Chapel, Middletown, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
