Mr. Storer, 85, of Matawan, died March 27, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was a lifelong resident of Morganville. Before his retirement, Mr. Storer worked as a head mechanic for National Lead Industries in Sayreville. He was a founding member of the Robertsville Fire Company and had served as chief, president and trustee for the fire company, as well as serving as the district fire marshal. Mr. Storer was also the district fire warden for the New Jersey State Forest Fire Service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Storer; three daughters and a son-in-law, Marvis Storer, Dolores Storer- Flanagan, and Teri and Paul Stich; a brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Esther Storer; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A military service was held at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County. Memorial donations may be made to the Robertsville Volunteer Fire Company. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Morganville.
