Go green & turn junk mail into stationery

Put that junk mail to good use. In celebration of Earth Day, learn how to make beautiful stationery out of mail that would have otherwise been shredded or thrown away. Each participant will make two sheets of paper using botanicals supplied by the Artist Peri. TheArtist Peri will also talk about the origin of paper and the different methods used to make paper through the ages.

The event will be held at the Sayreville Public Library, 1050 Washington Road, Parlin, from 2 to 4 p.m. April 22. People are encouraged to bring their own junk mail. The event is open to ages 18 and older only. For details and registration, call 732-727-0212, ext. 25, or email [email protected].
