Animal advocacy event April 28-29 at library

SHREWSBURY — Patrick’s Posse, an animal advocacy organization, has been very active advocating and educating about animal welfare and helping animals that are abused, neglected, lost or in need of rehoming.

Patrick’s Posse will host the second animal Advocacy & Awareness Accord on April 28 and 29 at the Monmouth County Library Eastern Branch in Shrewsbury.

Presenters include keynote speaker Capt. Rick Yocum of the New Jersey SPCA, and Rachel Hirschfeld, an expert in estate planning and a pre-eminent authority on continuing protection of all animals.

The program will run 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, and 1-4.30 p.m. Sunday, April 29. Space is limited to 50 persons, and organizers advise interested individuals to arrive early.
