Mrs. Ward, 86, of Freehold Township, died April 13, 2012, at Applewood Estates, Freehold Township. She was born in Lancaster, Pa., and had resided in Old Bridge and Forked River before moving to Freehold Township six years ago. Prior to retiring in 1987, she was employed as a secretary for the Old Bridge Township Board of Education. Mrs. Ward was predeceased by her husband, Francis Joseph Ward, in 1999. She is survived by a son, Brian Ward, and his wife Patricia; three daughters, Ellen Powell, Nancy Dulac and her husband, Bill, and Peggy Anslinger and her husband, Nick; a brother, Joseph Kreiser, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment in Brig. Gen. Willliam C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County. Arrangements were by the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
