Mr. Collard, 68, of Manalapan, formerly of Keyport, East Brunswick, Piscataway and Monroe, died April 5, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Prior to retiring, he was an employee of the surplus property warehouse of Rutgers University, Piscataway, for 25 years. Mr. Collard was a graduate of Keyport High School and Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold R. Collard; and a brother-in-law, Robert J. Devereaux. Surviving are a sister, Christine Collard Devereaux; a brother, Charles E. Collard; two sisters-in-law, Betsy Avery Collard and Patricia E. Collard; and many other family members. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. April 28 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 367 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church or to the Associate Alumni of Douglass College, 181 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. (Checks should be made out to the Douglass Annual Fund, and Christine Rieth Collard Scholarship Fund should be included in the memo space.)
