PNJ has been working with local advocates on solutions to save this 145-year-old
beloved community landmark since 2008, when the building was threatened with demolition
due to a history of structural concerns related to its roof trusses and stone walls. Thanks to
the efforts of many dedicated individuals, the building stands today, and is poised to continue
its legacy of community unification and celebration.
