Joseph and Joan Sheridan were honored Sunday for their long-standing contributions to the Hillsborough Education Foundation at its Taste of Hillsborough event at Royce Brook Golf Club.
Greta Iverson, center, a student at Temple University who was a 2011 Sheridan scholarship winner, came to recognize her mentors.
The Sheridans were given a Tiffany crystal apple paper weight.
A feature of the event was a “best burger” cookoff, where the people’s choice went to the Grub Hut. Other restaurants offered burgers of veggie, fish, chopped short ribs, and chili and traditional beef), plus sushi and Mexican food plus desserts.
