Thursday, May 10, the Hopewell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be having its annual Mother’s Day plant and flower sale.
The sale, organized by Mary Ann Van Doren and Lyle Kennedy, will feature a variety of classics such as geraniums, seasonal selections and specialty plants and flowers.
The sale will be offered from Thursday, May 10, through Saturday, May 12, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hopewell firehouse on Greenwood Avenue in Hopewell Borough.
Other items offered will be a variety of annuals, perennials and flats, marigolds, petunias, impatiens, a variety of 10-inch baskets and patio pots. Both cash and checks will be accepted.
The Auxiliary supports the community through Operation Santa Claus, the Halloween parade, the annual tree lighting, the Memorial Day parade and other events.
The Auxiliary’s main focus is providing sustenance to firefighters during fire calls and providing necessary equipment requested by the EMU and Fire Department.
