Metuchen Cash Mob will hold its second event to raise awareness of the economic benefits of supporting local businesses. The theme is “Make Mom Proud, Shop Local!” The event will be held May 5 at The Brass Lantern, 335 Main St., Metuchen, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participants are encouraged to continue shopping in town and continue visiting other local businesses.
Promotional flyers highlighting other local establishments will be handed out. According to organizers, the event helps demonstrate the great power of a community supporting local economy.
