Bike camp for kids & adults with disabilities

For This One Inc., a charitable nonprofit organization based out of North Brunswick, and Lose The Training Wheels Inc., a national nonprofit organization, are sponsoring a five-day camp to teach children with disabilities how to ride a bicycle. The camp will be heldAug. 13-17 at North Brunswick High School, 98 Raider Road.

People with disabilities ages 8 to adult are eligible to participate in the Lose The Training Wheels camp. Individuals with mental and physical disabilities typically have a more difficult time learning to ride a bike compared to their peers.

Lose The Training Wheels’ five-day camp provides each camper with approximately one hour of instruction each day using a series of adapted bikes and techniques. At the end of the camp, more than 80 percent of campers can successfully ride a conventional bike.
