Community Clean-up: ‘Thank you for its success’

Roger A. Plew of Bordentown Township
To the editor:
On April 21, the Bordentown Township Environmental Commission (BTEC) held its Spring Clean-up in honor of Earth Day.
I want to “thank” each and every person that participated. We had a very good turnout and collected dozens of bags of debris.
It was a very successful and productive clean-up. We partnered with the AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassadors Program and I would like to “thank” Peter Zampella our AWAP district representative for his help and support.
We had several students and staff from Bordentown Regional High School, members of the Parks and Recreation Committee and concerned residents. I need to also “thank” the Bordentown Kwanis Club for donating bottled water for our participants, George Ondusko of the Public Works Dept. for his support and assistance.
I would like to extend a very special ‘thank you’ to our Environmental Commission secretary Sue Young who coordinated the entire event. Thanks Sue, you did a great job.
Last but not least, I need to “thank” all the EC members for their help and continuing support.
Please remember and spread the word, our third annual Paper Shredder Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday in the Senior Center parking lot. I hope to see many of you there.
Again thank you all for your support.
