EAST WINDSOR — Bartronics, a global $200 million company, is now less than a click away from local job seekers having held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new North American headquarters, 104 Windsor Center Dr., with Mayor Janice Mironov on Wednesday.
"We are definitely going to bring new jobs to this location,” said President Venkat Maram on May 2. He is president of the company’s North American operations.
"We have aggressive plans to grow all across US,” Mr. Maram said.
Bartronics is an international information technology and systems integration company that specializes in business bar codes and smart tags. It was incepted 22 years ago in India. With its global headquarters based in India, Bartronics has offices and training centers the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and California.
"Bartronics represents the kind of high-tech high growth potential company which East Windsor is eager to attract,” Mayor Mironov told the Herald. “We are excited to welcome Bartronics and the establishment of many local jobs, and are hopeful that continuing success will enable them to expand further here in our community.”
Mr. Maram said Bartronics employs approximately 400 employees in the United States and approximately 1,100 globally.
Mayor Mironov said the township had learned of Bartronics’ interest to relocate its North American corporate offices to East Windsor from Iselin, New Jersey, late last year.
The company relocated to the 8,000 square foot Windsor Center office space with 35 employees from Iselin.
"We do intend to grow,” Mr. Maram said.
As of press time, Mr. Maram said Bartronics was actively searching to fill several openings at its East Windsor location including immediate positions in human resources and customer relations and services.
Additionally, he said, “We always have several IT openings.”
Mr. Maram described Bartronics as a “great company for IT” as well as one that provides its employees with “very well paying jobs.”
The president of North American operations said Bartronics chose East Windsor for its new headquarters for its location, open space and for being less crowded than Iselin.
"The township has been good,” Mr. Maram said of East Windsor.
Mayor Mironov said the township had been pro-active in reaching out to company officials and property developers and brokers to encourage and assist in successfully bringing new business to East Windsor.
Jeffrey Siegal and ML7 handle the Windsor Center property, according to the mayor.
Additional tenets of center include Aestus Therapeutics, Diebold, Evans Analytical Group and Jazzercise.
Said Mayor Mironov, “The decision of Bartronics, a global corporation which offers information technology expertise to assist businesses to develop high performance efficient operations, to locate offices in East Windsor highlights the township’s attraction to high-tech innovative growing businesses.”
Noteworthy, the largest businesses and job providers in East Windsor are McGraw-Hill Companies, Conair Corporation and Shiseido America.
Said Mayor Mironov, “East Windsor has a terrific location at Exit 8 of the (New Jersey) Turnpike and great access to major transportation systems, superior market access being midway between New York and Philadelphia, a significant higher education regional base and strong talented employee pool, and an attractive green environment for employees."
