Township police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at a school bus dropoff point at Gemini Drive and Capricorn Drive on May 2.
When Auten Road School-age students walked passed a black vehicle described as a Toyota Corolla with a rear spoiler and dual exhaust, someone described as a Hispanic male 16 to 18 years old and wearing glasses in the rear seat asked if they wanted to get in the car.
The car drove off, with no license number noted. One of the students said that one of the two or three other passengers may have been an acquaintance of theirs, police said.
James Rosinski, 28, of Milford was charged with obstruction of justice April 4 after he turned into a private driveway on Amwell Road to avoid being pulled over by an officer, township police said.
When confronted by the homeowner, Mr. Rosinski drove across the lawn, damaging it, police said. He was also charged with failing to keep right and having a loud auto exhaust.
George Horton II, 39, of Hillsborough was charged with hindering apprehension after he provided false information about his identity to an officer during a April 7 traffic stop on Route 206. He was released after also being charged with driving while his license was suspended.
An Amwell Road resident reported $800 worth of scrap metal from the property on April 14.
On April 15, a Collins Drive resident reported that his vehicle had been entered and a GPS valued at $200 was stolen during the overnight hours.
Warren Pender, 51, of Plainfield was arrested April 23 on pending Newark and Jersey City warrants during a traffic stop.
A construction company reported $4,500 worth of construction metals was stolen from a construction site on Amsterdam Drive on April 24 or sometime after that.
Christopher Ferraro, 51, of Hillsborough was arrested on a $500 Hillsborough warrant on April 26.
