May 1 at 3:27 a.m., Sgt. Robert Brown charged Courtney E. Utman, 35, of Lambertville, with drunken driving.
She was stopped on North Union Street for having a license plate out, police said. She also was charged with failure to maintain lamps and careless driving and released without bail.
April 30 at 5:18 p.m., Benjamin Barlow, 52, of Lambertville, reported to Sgt. 1st Class Michael O’Rourke that someone had stolen his bicycle seat while it was at a residence on Church Street. The seat was valued at $70.
Saturday at 6:32 p.m., Patrolman Anthony Memolo went to North Union Street for a motor vehicle crash.
Mellissa Stager, 20, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, pulled out of a business in front of Frank Amari, 50, of New Hope, police said.
Ms. Stager was charged with failure to yield while exiting a driveway and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
She also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia a metal grinder, used to grind marijuana and a glass smoking pipe and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.
Also charged was Michael Tallia, 21, also of Doylestown, with possession of drug paraphernalia a metal grinder possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.
A 16-year-old female from Doylestown was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia a metal grinder.
All were released without bail.
West Amwell
April 26 at 5:34 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Rocktown-Lambertville and Mt. Airy Harbourton roads.
William Ferry Jr., 17, of Lambertville, was stopped on Rocktown-Lambertville Road at a stop sign when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Kyle Tillett, 17, of Lambertville, police said.
A 16-year-old male in Mr. Ferry’s vehicle complained of neck pain and checked by the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad, but declined to be transported to a medical facility.
No charges were filed by Patrolman Timothy Vanselous.
April 27 at 10:45 p.m., Patrolman Jonathan Sellner charged Colleen Golden, 45, of Narberth Pennsylvania, for drunken driving after stopping her on Route 179 for driving erratically, police said.
Police said she had two warrants, one from Morrestown Township Municipal Court for failure to comply with a court order and the other from Palmyra Municipal Court for failure to appear.
Ms. Golden also was charged with reckless driving, possession and consumption of an open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, following too closely, unsafe and failure to signal lane change, use of a cell phone in a moving motor vehicle and operating an uninsured vehicle.
She was released to a friend after posting $1,500 cash bail on the warrants.
April 28 at 11:30 p.m., Patrolman Sellner charged a 16-year-old male from Basking Ridge, New Jersey, for possession of suspected marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia.
The 16-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Basking Ridge male who was stopped for speeding on Route 202. The juvenile was charged with possession of under 50 grams of suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and released to a parent.
The 17-year-old was charged with speeding and having an obstructed view.
April 29 at 3:36 a.m., Patrolman Jeffrey Jones charged James Forgione, 30, of New Hope, for drunken driving after stopping him on Route 202 for speeding.
He also was charged with speeding and reckless driving and released to a friend.
April 30 at 9 p.m., Patrolman Edward Skillman arrested Walter Davis, 36, of Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, on a traffic warrant for failure to appear from Egg Harbor Township Municipal Court.
Mr. Davis was following a 1995 Volvo tractor-truck that had been stopped for having no taillights on Route 202. The truck was found to be recently purchased and being operated unregistered and uninsured, police said.
Mr. Davis claimed co-ownership. When he produced his driver’s license, a computer check showed his Pennsylvania driver’s license to be suspended and the warrant, police said.
He was charged with driving while suspended and released after posting $1,000 cash bail.
The tractor-truck was impounded for being unregistered and uninsured, the driver of that vehicle was issued summonses for maintenance of lamps and operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
Police are warning of a scam involving a dating site, Match.com.
A subject, after corresponding with a resident, requested she wire him money for a project he was working on in Nigeria. The person described himself as Caucasian male who resided in Texas with his daughter, which was backed up by a photograph.
He placed a telephone call to her and spoke in a Nigerian or Jamaican accent. The cellular telephone the person was making the calls on was presumed to be a Trac phone with an origin in New York, not Texas where the subject claimed he resided.
The resident realized something was wrong, did not wire any funds and contacted police.
Never wire any funding for any reason to anyone who claims to represent an unknown entity, police said. Never supply any personal information to anyone such as your full name, social security number, address, the financial institution you conduct business with, bank account or checking account numbers, police said.
No legitimate person and or/institution will ask you for this information via the Internet or by calling you, police said.
If someone claims a family member is requesting funding, take the time to contact the family member directly to ascertain if the call is legitimate. If you receive any suspicious requests either by telephone or the Internet requesting money from an unknown person, police said, it is recommended you contact police.
During March, police responded to 187 complaints, including two assaults, three burglaries and other criminal complaints, eight motor vehicle accidents, three family/domestic disputes and 30 emergency first aid and fire responses.
Township police arrested eight adults and one juvenile on various charges and three for drunken driving and issued 344 moving motor vehicle summonses.
