HILLSBOROUGH: Girl Scouts work for Bronze Award

Hillsborough Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 60367 collected donated towels and blankets for St. Hubert’s and other local animal shelters to help each girl qualify for the Bronze Award, the highest level service award a Junior-level Scout can earn.
They also made dog and cat toys, as shown on the table, for the sheltered animals. They braided felt to make dog pull toys and stuffed donated children’s socks with catnip for the cats.
To receive the award, each Scout must complete 20 hours for a community service project. The girls unanimously decided to work on a project to benefit homeless and sheltered animals.
