SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Kendall Park’s Rogers contributes to Mule team

ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA — Junior Billy Rogers from Kendall Park, was a key contributor for the Muhlenberg College baseball team in 2012, according to the school.
Rogers appeared in 12 games with seven starts on the mound for the Mules, according to a press release from the school Tuesday.
He finished the season 3-4 in those seven games.
According to the school, he struck out six in four innings of work to earn his first career win in the second game of the season against Gallaudet.
He followed that up by working into the eighth inning and not allowing an earned run while striking out five to beat Wilmington, Ohio.
He then added a career-high eight punch-outs against Valley Forge Christian to finish third on the team with 34 strikeouts in 41.2 innings of work.
After one of the best starts in school history, winning 15 of the first 19 games, Muhlenberg struggled down the stretch before finishing 19-21.
The 19 wins are tied for the fourth most in school history, according to the school.
The Mules broke the school records for hits with 460, and extra-base hits with 108, in a season and posted the third-highest scoring total in program history.
