PLUMSTED: Escapees sought in region

   PLUMSTED — Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for two inmates of the Mid-State Correctional Annex in Fort Dix that escaped from custody Monday.
   According to a press release late Monday afternoon, police are looking for Joseph Brandt, 27, and Terrence Feeney, 42.
   According to the state Department of Corrections website, the men reportedly escaped from custody at 1:02 p.m. and 1:51 p.m. respectively from a work detail around the Arneystown Cemetery in Wrightstown.
   Police said it is not known if the men are in the Plumsted area, but a search of the entire region is under way.
   Mr. Brandt is described as a white male, 5-foot, 11-inches tall and weighing approximately 194 lbs. Mr. Feeney is described as a black male, 5-foot, 7-inches tall and weighing about 200 lbs., according to police.
   Mr. Feeney was incarcerated May 12, 1989 and Mr. Brandt has been in custody since Oct. 31, 2011, according to the state.
   No other information on the individuals or the charges they were convicted of was available.
   According to the state, Mid-State is located on 12.4 acres of state land and all inmates at the facility are assigned to work details and can participate in various programs, including special work details on the ranges at Fort Dix.
   As of Jan. 3, the facility had 694 inmates, according to the state.
   According to authorities, the escapees should be considered extremely dangerous and any suspicious persons should be reported by calling 911 or the Plumsted Police Department at 609-758-7185.
