Food, fun at Sacred Heart parish picnic
More than 300 parishioners and friends gathered Sunday at Polish Falcons Camp in Hillsborough for the Sacred Heart annual parish picnic. The nice weather brought young and old together for an afternoon of food and fun.
Chairwoman Maryann Suhaka was excited about the day.
”We have a successful parish picnic with 300 people this year,” she said. “We have games for the children and games for the adults. We also have great food and great desserts. Our big raffle this year is pizza with the priests and we have fingernail painting for the children.”
Picnic attendees ’enjoyed a menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, French fries, corn, chicken, meatballs, sausage and peppers, watermelon and more. Plentiful desserts were made by the parishioners who brought them to share.
Children teamed up to participate in relay races and games and bingo was played. It was a lot of socializing and an afternoon of relaxation.
”We had a perfect day. What more could we ask for?” said Ms. Suhaka.
