The Frick Chemistry Laboratory building at 120 Washington Road, Princeton, near the pedestrian overpass, was evacuated for about two hours Wednesday after an incident involving hazardous materials that was reported shortly after 1 p.m.
The victim was working in one of the laboratories when a vessel containing some chemicals exploded. Some of the contents landed on the victim and on the floor of the lab.
The Princeton Fire Department and the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad responded.
The Trenton Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials Unit also was called in, and a team of specially trained Trenton firefighters entered the building to investigate. All of the fire department and first aid units were dismissed from the scene around 3 p.m.
