Blood Drive
The Kalmia Club sponsored a successful blood drive on Saturday, May 19 in honor of Owen Nathaniel Estes.
I would first like to thank everyone who came to donate, whether or not they were able to contribute. We collected 34 pints of blood, which can save 102 lives.
We could never have had the drive if it weren’t for the Lambertville/New Hope Rescue Squad donating their hall, which perfectly met all the needs of the American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross gave us the ability to help others; one of the main missions of The Kalmia Club, the women’s club in Lambertville.
Three members of the club worked alongside me putting much time and effort into the project: Polly Anderson, our president; Millie Fischer and Fran Bardusco. Without their efforts we could never have been so successful.
