A woman suffered a head injury after a collision with another driver on Route 33 at the intersection of Hickory Corner Road last Thursday at 7:37 p.m.
Jennifer Dziurqnski, 31, of Hamilton struck Eileen Jawad’s, 46, of East Windsor with her car after she failed to stop at a red light, according to police officials.
The collision caused Ms. Jawad’s Kia Soul to flip on to its passenger side and she had to be rescued by Fire Department personnel.
Ms. Dziurqnski suffered minor injuries due to air bag deployment. The East Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad transported Ms. Jawad to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton where hospital staff treated her for a head laceration.
Police said the accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
Police responded to a report from a motorist saying a black bear had crossed Old York Road from the area near the Eastwood Drive intersection.
Upon responding to the report, officers said no bears were found in the area. The New Jersey State Division of Fish Wildlife was notified.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with criminal mischief after police said he vandalized three vehicles at a residence on Conover Road between April 30 and May 3.
Police said further investigation revealed Jonathan Golds vandalized the vehicles by throwing large pavement stones at them.
According to police, he caused more than $4,000 in damages. Mr. Golds has been released from police custody, pending court action.
Police charged two people with possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 6 at 3:16 a.m.
According to police an officer observed Ron Wiley, 26, of Seaside Heights and Jane Strich, 41, of Toms River behaving erratically in the parking lot of a Shell Foodmart on Route 33.Mr. Wiley has been released, pending court action. Police officials said Ms. Strich was transferred to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office on an unrelated warrant.
An Avon Drive resident reported a burglary on May 7.
Police said the resident reported an unknown person entered the unlocked vehicle and removed some of the property inside.
Police charged a 31-year-old Jersey City resident with possession of marijuana under 50 grams on May 6 at 12:56 a.m.
Terence Eng was driving erratically along Route 130 when an officer pulled him over, police said.
Officers took him into custody after administering a field sobriety test. He has been released pending court action.
Police charged a Meadow Drive resident with Driving While Intoxicated after she swerved over the double yellow lines on Mercer Street on May 13 at 3:34 a.m.
Adriene Langfeld, 52, refused to provide breath samples at headquarters according to police.
Police charged her with, reckless driving, careless driving, refusal to submit breath samples, DWI in a school zone, failure to wear a seatbelt, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Police received a report that an unknown subject broke a mirror off a One Mile South Road resident’s vehicle between 6 p.m. May 9 and 8:15 a.m. May 10.
A Windsor Regency resident reported that an unknown person unlocked her vehicle and stole money, a purse and electronic devices from the car between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. May 4, according to police.
A Jefferson Drive resident’s tires were slashed during the night between May 12 and May 13, according to police.
Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old man with possession of prescription drugs with intent to distribute on May 13 at 9:48 p.m.A patrol officer approached Kamran Haneef while he was in his vehicle at The Orchard after he noticed a smell of marijuana coming from Mr. Haneef’s car, police officials said.
According to police, Mr. Haneef was held on $20,000 bail and also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they arrested a Dennison Drive resident and charged him with driving while intoxicated on May 13 at 3:56 a.m.
Manuel Tenesaca-Alvarracin, 47, was pulled over after officers noticed his vehicle swerving on Route 33, according to police.
He was transported to police headquarters and then released pending court action, police said.
Police received a report of two windows at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School being damaged between 7:29 p.m. May12 and 11 p.m. May 13.
Police said they responded to a criminal mischief report on Hickory Corner Road. The resident reported that his vehicle had been scratched with a sharp object overnight on May 14.
Police charged a woman with driving while intoxicated after she was involved in a car accident on Route 130 on May 14 at 6:27 a.m.
Susan Leyden, 54, of Bordentown was transported to a nearby hospital after she suffered injuries from the accident, according to police.
Ms. Leyden was processed and released at the hospital. The occupants of the other vehicle involved were transported to the hospital for minor injuries, police said.
Police arrested and charged a Princeton Arms North Apartment resident with aggravated assault 1:03 p.m. May 12.
Kwesi Booker, 36, physically assaulted the victim and made threats with a knife during the altercation, police said.
According to police said they arrested Mr. Booker at the scene. Mr. Booker was held on $40,000 full bail.
Police arrested a man and charged him with obstructing justice on May 16 at 10:06 a.m.
Christian Franco, 30, provided false identification to a police officers after he was pulled over on Route 130 near the Town Center Plaza, police said.
According to police, upon further investigation Mr. Franco’s true identity was revealed and police learned that his license had been suspended.
Police also charged him with hindering apprehension, maintenance, driving while suspended, unlicensed driver and fraudulent inspection sticker.
A Hickory Corner Road resident’s home was burglarized between May 18 and May 20, according to police.
The resident reported that a jewelry box along with jewelry valued at $5,000 were stolen from the residence, police said.
Police said they are still under investigation.
A car was burglarized after the owner of it did not lock it while it was parked on Ithaca Place overnight May 19, said police.
According to police, approximately $10 in cash was stolen from the car.
Approximately $490 worth of property was stolen from a car that was broken into on Enfield Drive between 8:30 p.m. May 19 and 10:50 a.m. May 20.
Police said the vehicle was left unlocked when the theft occurred.
According to police, a man eluded police 5:04 a.m. May 20 after his vehicle had been reported in connection with a hit and run of a gas pump at the Citgo gas station several hours earlier. Robert Kroeckel, 19, of Shagbark Lane, attempted to escape police custody by speeding and driving recklessly, police said.
Officers waited for the suspect at his residence, according to police, but Mr. Kroeckel fled his home when he noticed them.
Police said they located the abandoned vehicle in the driveway of a West Windsor residence.
Mr. Kroeckel had not been located at the time of the police report, but has been charged with eluding police, hindering apprehension, obstructing justice, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, driving suspended, unsafe vehicle, drugs in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and careless driving.
A man fled from a police officer at the Twin Rivers Mall on May 19 at 2:29 a.m. after a patrol officer approached him.
Tyler Ferst, 21, was caught on Bennington Drive after he threw the bottle of beer he was holding and fled from the officer.
Police charged Mr. Ferst with obstructing justice and consumption of alcohol in public. He has been released pending court action.
Police said someone stole $60 in cash, several credit cards and some personal papers from an unlocked car on Rockybrook Road on May 18 between 3:30 p.m. and 4:55 p.m.
Hightstown
Police charged a man with disorderly conduct May 15 at 3:38 a.m.
Jonnathan Quito-Salinas, 20, attempted to kick in a door in the Westerlea Arms Apartment complex. Police said he was highly intoxicated and could not provide any information to the officers.
Mr. Quito—Salinas was later release, pending court action.
Police charged a Staten Island man with driving while intoxicated May 13 at 1:14 a.m. on North Main Street.
Soryams Ruiz, 26, was stopped for speeding when an officer noticed an alcoholic order coming from his vehicle. Police said they took him into custody after he failed a field sobriety test.
Mr. Ruiz was wanted on three warrants totaling $3,400. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, careless driving, and speeding. He was released on bail pending court action.
Police charged a resident of Westerlea Arms Apartments with contempt of court May 15 at 5:01 p.m.
Christopher Jenkins, 23, who had missed several court dates, was observed walking along Rogers Avenue, police said.
Jenkins was taken into police custody and later released to the Mercer County Adult Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
A 27-year-old man of Academy Street was arrested and charges with contempt of court May 15 at 5:25 p.m.
Police observed Sylvester Somerselle, who was known to have warrants for his arrest. A credential check showed he was in violation of his probation, according to police.
Mr. Somerselle was turned over to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department after the warrants for his arrest were discovered.
Officers arrested and charged a man with driving while intoxicated on North Main Street on May 15 at 9:37 p.m.
Adrian Benedik, 40, of East Windsor was stopped after police responded to a report of an intoxicated man involved in a physical altercation attempting to leave the area.
A strong smell of alcohol was noticed coming from his vehicle, said police. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, driving while suspended, driving while suspended from a previous DWI arrest, unlicensed driving and reckless driving. Police released him when he became sober.
