HILLSBOROUGH: Library board looking for prospective members

The Hillsborough Public Library Advisory Board is seeking applications for new members.
The board acts on the behalf of the Hillsborough community to assure the continued quality library services.
Recent board-sponsored activities include a staff appreciation luncheon in honor of National Library week, a workshop on storytelling and exercise programs, such as Zumba. Future projects include a reorganization of a portion of the library floor plan to better serve patrons.
”We seek individuals who are interested in both the library and the community as a whole,” said Maggie Gagliardi, vice president and chair of the nominating committee. “Although the time commitment is not extensive, the rewards are.”
The Advisory Board meets six times a year. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and residents of Hillsborough. Members serve three-year terms, not to exceed three terms.
Applications are available at the library and online.
