A man struck a woman pedestrian with his pickup truck just before noon Saturday on River Road, about a half-mile north of Amwell Road.
Police reported that Thomas R. Bernard Jr., 20, hit Leonora Torres with his Ford truck while she was walking in the northbound lane of River Road at 11:52 p.m. The impact pushed the 34-year-old Neshanic Station woman off of the road, police said.
The Hillsborough Rescue Squad and Somerset Medical Center mobile intensive care unit responded. She was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, in New Brunswick, where she was treated for minor injuries.
Police said a Hillsborough Road resident reported that $34,900 worth of jewelry and electronics was stolen from their home on May 6.
According to the resident, the incident took place during the day. The case is still under investigation.
A Meadowbrook Drive resident reported that someone tried to break into their home around 3 a.m. April 29.
The resident said awoke to the sound of a rattling noise and heard male voices outside the house, police said.
Police arrested and charged a Hillsborough woman with driving while intoxicated on May 4.
Tara Rudd, 45, was driving on Johnson Avenue when she was pulled over, police said. Her blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.27 percent, police said. Police also charged her with careless driving and then released her.
A man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on May 5.
Scott Goddell, 57, of Seattle was arrested on Route 206, said police. His blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.17 percent, police said. After also being charged with obstructing traffic, he was released.
Carlos Ramirez, 24, of New Brunswick was arrested on May 10 on a warrant from New Brunswick during a police investigation of an unrelated incident, police said.
According to police, a home on Perrine Pike was burglarized between May 7 and 14. Police said copper plumbing was stolen from the home. They are investigating.
Police said a resident on Amwell Road reported at least $250 worth of tools stolen from his garage on May 13. The police said the burglary is under investigation.
Adewale Ogunkanmi, 46, of Somerset was arrested on a warrant from Bordentown on May 15 during the course of an investigation into a trespassing complaint.
