Postcard Collectibles Show Saturday in Titusville

The Washington Crossing Card Collectors Club is hosting its fifth annual postcard show and sale on Saturday. Thousands of vintage and modern postcards will be for sale and on display.
The show runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Union Fire Company Banquet Hall, 1396 River Road (Route 29), Titusville. Admission is a $3 donation. A coupon for discounted admission is available at www.wc4postcards.org. Free literature and appraisal services will be offered. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. Refreshments will be available.
The exhibit will highlight antique postcards of the local area, as well as highly graphic examples of early advertising, greeting cards and collectible topics such as trains and trolleys, Santa, and amusement parks.
Twenty-one dealers will offer postcards, including scenes of small towns and cities from the early and mid 1900s. Mid-century linen and modern chrome cards also will be available.
”Postcard collecting offers something for everyone,” said club President George Wagner. “ This show commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Golden Age of postcards, which lasted from 1907 to 1915. Cards from this era are now true antiques,” he said.
