PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton Township
   David Gallante Jr., 34, of Franklin, Shaista Azizalam, 50, of Princeton, and Boram Lee, 25, of Tenafly, were in an accident on Route 27 at Prospect Avenue on May 24 at 9:51 a.m. Mr. Gallante received a summons for careless driving.
   Sharon DeVito, 50, of Princeton, and Ruth Cooper, 65, of Skillman, were in an accident on Route 206 on May 25 at 4:03 p.m. Ms. DeVito received a summons for careless driving.
   Jermain Panton, 26, of Trenton, and Douglas Neiverth, 38, of Skillman, were in an accident on Route 206 at Herrontown Road on May 25 at 5:09 p.m. Mr. Panton received a summons for careless driving.
   Francis Kioko, 50, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated after driving off Route 206 and striking a pole near Ewing Street on May 25 at 8:50 p.m. Mr. Kioko also received summonses for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, using a handheld device while driving and failure to maintain a single lane. The road was closed for approximately five hours while the pole was replaced.
   Lucas Zavala, 21, of North Brunswick, and Eleanor Hayes-Larson, 23, of Princeton, were in an accident on Valley Road at Walnut Lane on May 27 at 5:07 p.m. Mr. Zavala received a summons for careless driving.
   Lisa Price, 56, of Princeton, was in an accident on May 27 at 5:38 p.m. after her car rolled down a 12-foot embankment off Quaker Road south of Mercer Street into the creek. Ms. Price said she had felt sick, pulled over and got out of the car, but did not put the car in park. She was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for an undisclosed illness and no summonses were issued.
   A resident off of Princeton-Kingston Road reported that someone broke into her pool house between May 24 and May 26. No items were reported stolen.
   A resident of Billie Ellis Lane reported criminal mischief after finding two large scratches on the passenger side of his vehicle on May 29 at 1:10 p.m.
   Talin Dabaghian, 34, of Frenchtown, and Megan Maher, 34, of Princeton, were in an accident on North Harrison Street at Valley Road on May 29 at 1:41 p.m. Ms. Maher received a summons for failure to observe a traffic signal.
   A resident of Rollingmead reported burglary on May 30 at 12:55 p.m. The victim said someone cut a hole in a window screen and took cash from the table.
   Keith Harper, 25, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 206 at May 31 at 3:09 a.m. Princeton Borough
   Jaime Vargas-Bautista, 21, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Spring Street at South Tulane Street on May 26 at 1:45 a.m. after striking a telephone poll. He also received summonses for underage driving while intoxicated, wrong way on a one-way street, reckless driving and unlicensed driver and was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.
   Kyra Klug, 21, of Flemington, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding on Stockton Street on May 27 at 1:37 a.m. She also received other summonses.
   West Windsor
   A resident of Plainsboro reported her wallet containing cash and credit cards stolen at the Walmart in the Nassau Park Retail Center between 10 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. on May 19. The total value stolen was an estimated $46
   Donna M. Calderone, 54, of Lawrenceville, was charged with stealing approximately $568.89 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s in the Nassau Park Retail Center on May 15 at 5:30.
   Andrea Rose Blanar, 24, of East Brunswick, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 1 at Quakerbridge on May 18 at 2 a.m. She also received summonses for view obstruction, failure to exhibit insurance card and reckless driving.
Montgomery
   Nihal Shetty, 21, of Hillsborough, and two passengers, both 18, one of Hillsborough and one of South Brunswick, were in an accident on at Route 206 and Airpark Drive on May 18 at 1:47 a.m. No one was injured and Mr. Shetty was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.
   Stephen Esock Jr., 42, of Hamilton, was arrested for having two active traffic warrants on May 22 at 7:49 a.m. He also received a summons for operating an unregistered vehicle.
   Kayla S. Smith, 19, of Bridgewater, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and Mark Rieger, 19, of Bridgewater received a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt on May 22 at 3:55 p.m.
   Michael Ingerwerson, 58, of Mercerville, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Montgomery Road near Route 206 on May 23 at 9:55 a.m. He was also issued a summons for failure to keep right.
   A juvenile, 17, of Skillman, his juvenile passenger, 15, of Belle Mead, and Shirley Boxer, of Skillman, who was driving a school bus containing 33 students were in an accident after the juvenile rear ended the bus on Route 601 at Broadway on May 23 at 4:16 p.m. No one was injured and the juvenile received a summons for careless driving.
   Richard A. Charlton III, 18, of Belle Mead, was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana under 50 grams after crashing his car on Grandview Road at on May 25 at 12:52 a.m. He also received summonses for speeding, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, provisional violation and underage driving while intoxicated.
   Five Belle Mead residents were in two separate car crashes that happened within moments of each other on Route 601 near Dutchtown Harlingen Road on May 24 at 7:12 a.m. Two juveniles, both 17, and John Berteletti, 18, were in the first crash and Andrew Clark, 18, and another juvenile, 17, were in the second crash. There were no injuries in either accident. Mr. Clark, Mr. Berteletti and one of the juveniles from the first accident each received a summons for careless driving. Mr. Berteletti also received a summons for too many passengers while possessing a provisional driver’s license.
   Plainsboro
   Shivinder Narwal, 51, of Manalapan, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Derry Meeting Drive on May 26 at 12:46 a.m. He also received summonses for reckless driving, unclear plate, obstruction of vision, failure to exhibit registration and failure to exhibit insurance card.
   Wooseock Kim, 20, of West Windsor, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams at Quail Ridge Drive on May 26.
   Shakira P. Williams, 21, of Trenton, was charged with hindering apprehension on Route 1 on May 28 at 7:54 p.m. Police said she gave a false name in an attempt to evade an outstanding warrant out of Trenton. Ms. Williams also received a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt.
   Ryan P. Shanaman, 21, of Hatfield, Pa, and Austin B. Miller, 21, of Phildaelphia, Pa, were both charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Route 1 at Ridge Road on May 30 at 12:18 a.m. Mr. Shanaman was also charged with possession of hashish and possession of fireworks and was issued summonses for speeding, failure to keep right, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and failure to exhibit documents.
