Sat., June 9
   Toy duck race postponed: The Manville Education Foundation, in conjunction with the Manville Recreation Department, has put off its planned community duck race at Memorial Park until the fall.
Fri., June 15
   Jazz concert: Outdoor “Jazz Under the Stars” at 7 p.m. in courtyard at Manville High School, 1100 Brooks Blvd. Big Band and swing music performed by the Garden State Jazz Orchestra, Manville High School Jazz Band and vocalists. Sponsored by the Manville Music Organization. Tickets $15. Buy by mail, by phone, at door or from band members. Order form is at manvillemusic.wordpress.com or call 908-231-6806, ext. 8513. Rain date: June 16.
   Ice cream social: Roosevelt School, 7-8:30p.m.
Tues., June 19
   Fifth-grade move-up ceremony: Roosevelt School, 9 a.m. and early dismissal at 11:50 a.m.
   Middle School graduation: Alexander Batcho Intermediate School graduation at the school, 7 p.m.
June 19-23
   Carnival: Manville Youth Athletic League annual event at Gerber Field on Duke’s Parkway, 6-11 each night. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday will be “one pay one price” nights. Fireworks Friday night (rain date: Saturday). Carnival games and food to support group’s cheering, football and baseball programs. Registration will be open for these sports during carnival.
Wed., June 20
   High school graduation: At Manville High, followed by the Project Graduation outing for the senior class.
June 25-29
   Vacation Bible School: “IncrediWorld” will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 34 South Third Ave., 6:30-8:30 p.m. Children entering kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome.    Blood pressure checks: Second Thursday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., VFW.
   Entertainment books: Books filled with coupons for local shopping, meals, travel to be used throughout 2012 are on sale for $30 at the senior center, 20 So. 3rd Ave.. 908-526-0175.
   Public library book sale: Buy donated and surplus books to support the library. Non-sale hardcover books are 50 cents; soft-cover 25 cents each or by the bag for $2.
