The Art Alliance of Monmouth County is hosting a June show of works interpreting the themes “Geometry in Art” and “Shoebox Show.”
The window artist is Nina Douglas, who discovered her interest in artwhile in high school and became an elementary and high school art teacher. In 2004 she moved to Monmouth County and became active in the local art scene, exhibiting her paintings in numerous juried and one-woman shows. With oil on canvas as her medium, she has developed a technique that captures her subject’s essence — from the likeness of her portraits to the spirit of her seascapes. The Art Alliance is located at 33 Monmouth St. in Red Bank. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon – 4 p.m.
The Art Alliance is an all-volunteer co-op gallery dedicated to providing exhibition and studio space for area artists. Membership is open to all, artist and non-artists, amateur and professional. All media are represented. Learn more at www.artallianceofmonmouth.org.
