BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP: Arrest made in fatal hit & run

By Staff Report
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — A Burlington County man turned himself in to police Monday and was charged with a fatal hit-and-run I-676 collision that claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman in Camden on June 2, according to authorities.
New Jersey State Police arrested Ronald Winzinger, 35, of Hainesport, as the result of the ongoing investigation into the fatal accident, which left Michelle MacInnes, of Jackson, dead and three others injured, state police said in a press release Tuesday.
Monday evening, police said Mr. Winzinger surrendered to troopers at the Bordentown Station on Route 130 in Bordentown Township.
Mr. Winzinger was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, second degree; and hindering apprehension, third degree, police said.
The Ocean County victim, Ms. MacInnes, was in the rear seat of a Mazda that was stopped for traffic in the right lane, according to the state police.
Driver Bridget Rediuk, 27, of Pine Hill, front seat passenger Jaime McDonald, 34, of Clementon and Stacey Eisele, 29, of Williamstown were also traveling in the Mazda.
”They were treated and released,” said Trooper Christopher Kay, of the state police’s office of public information, on Wednesday.
Police said that the preliminary investigation indicated Mr. Winzinger, driving in a black Nissan Xterra, was traveling at an unsafe speed and struck the rear of the Mazda after changing lanes in an attempt to exit the highway.
Ms. MacInnes was transported to the hospital and there she succumbed to her injuries, Trooper Kay said.
The accident occurred Saturday at approximately 11:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-676 near Exit 4, police said.
Mr. Winzinger allegedly stopped briefly following the collision, but fled the scene shortly thereafter, police said. The Xterra was located later under a tarp in a parking lot near Mr. Winzinger’s residence.
Mr. Winzinger was taken to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $75,000 full cash bail.
