Samantha Capista, a 2011 graduate of Hillsborough High School, has made the dean’s list for academic performance in the spring semester at West Virginia University. To qualify, a student must average a 3.5 GPA, and Samantha obtained a 3.6 GPA.
Samantha has been accepted into the business program at West Virginia University, where she will major in finance.
Laura Blum from Hillsborough was named to the dean’s list at the State University of New York at Geneseo for the spring semester. To be on the list, a student must achieve a 3.5 grade-point average while taking at least 12 credit hours.
Erica Reiss of Hillsborough attained the dean’s list by achieving a GPA of a 3.9 for the spring semester of her sophomore year at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
She is a resident assistant at Quinnipiac and also a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, for which she is the finance assistant. Erica, a marketing major, attended the sorority’s district leadership conference in Maryland. Next fall as a junior, she will study abroad at Bond University in Queensland, Australia.
Two students from Hillsborough were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Widener University in Chester, Pa. They are Sarah Conover and Jaclyn Tomasetti.
The Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who earned a grade-point average of 3.50 and above for the semester.
Justin Giarrusso of Hillsborough was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
To qualify, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.
Hillsborough residents Jeffrey Killian and Michael Vizzoni have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Thomas Pepitone, a music education major from Hillsborough, was named to the Dean’s List at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia for the spring semester.
Students must achieve a G.P.A of 3.6 or higher, and are recognized at opening convocation held in the fall semester.
