Patricia Skelly of Bordentown City; Ralph Tolomeo of Bordentown
To the editor:
Thanks very much to everyone who made the third annual Bordentown City Green Fair this past weekend such an amazing success for our community!
Thanks to the more than 50 exhibitors, plus the four local bands, supported by Jim Parker’s technology, and local restaurants, Jesters and HOB Tavern, who were the backbone of this fun, informative, and empowering green event.
Hundreds of people arrived every hour throughout the day, including local Bordentownians, but also many folks who came from across New Jersey and from farther afield, for a festival to promote sustainable living and environmental awareness.
Bordentown City is widely recognized within NJ as a model sustainable community, as confirmed by our Bronze–level certification in the prestigious Sustainable Jersey program and our designation in the Classic Towns of Greater Philadelphia initiative.
The amazingly positive response to this year’s Green Fair again confirms our residents’ desire to foster a more sustainable community for current and future generations. Let’s all make sure we do our best to make this “little city with a lot of charm” a truly sustainable place for generations to come.
