WEST WINDSOR: Kidnapped boy found safe in South Carolina

   WEST WINDSOR — The child reported to be kidnapped from West Windsor by his grandfather was found safe Tuesday morning in South Carolina and the grandfather has been arrested.
   At approximately 11:30 a.m., police received a tip that Morris Lundy, 50, of Old Meadow Road in West Windsor, and his grandson, David Lundy, 5, were spotted at a McDonald’s restaurant on West Lucas Street in Florence, S.C.
   An officer was sent to the restaurant and located them.
   Morris Lundy has been charged by West Windsor police with kidnapping, interference with child custody and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held in the Florence County Jail pending extradition.
   David Lundy was reported by police to be in good spirits and was not experiencing any issues related to his asthma. He will be spending the night in Florence under the care of the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
   Case workers from the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services are coordinating the return of the boy to New Jersey with assistance from the FBI. Upon his return, he will be under the care of the Division of Youth and Family Services.
