Slavic group sings,
dances at festival
   Friday, June 22 — The Slavjane Folk Ensemble will perform Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. The group of 35 costumed performers from ages 6-21 present the culture and traditions of the Slavic ethnicities of East Central Europe through music, song and dance.    Saturday, June 23 — Hillsborough Band members will wash vehicles from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hillsborough Elementary School, Amwell Road at Route 206. Cars $5, and vans $7.

Sunday blood drive

Suicide awareness
program scheduled
   Tuesday, June 26 — Boro SAFE (Suicide Awareness For Everyone), the public schools’ suicide awareness and prevention committee, will hold a forum, 9 a.m. to noon, in auditorium of high school, 466 Raider Blvd.

   Tuesday, June 26 — In National Curriculum Night, parents can learn about innovative curriculum and advanced academic programs for preschoolers, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at The Learning Experience at Hillsborough, 345 Auten Road.    Saturday, June 30 — Troop 1776 Venture Patrol is holding a car wash at Hillsborough Elementary School, Route 206 at Amwell Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. $5 cars and $7 trucks or vans. Event raises money for Appalachian Trial backpacking trip in Maine in July.

   Saturday, July 14 — Fire Co. No. 2 will hold a flea market behind the firehouse at 375 Route 206. Browse the merchandise, or rent a space for $15.

   Alternative worship — “Bagels, Bible and Belief,” at 9:30 a.m. summer Sundays at the Hillsborough Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Homestead Road and Route 206. Come casual, have a bagel and lemonade and explore “The First Seven Days: An Introduction to Celtic Spirituality.”
