John Tamanas of Hillsborough addressed the audience as 148 students received diplomas at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School graduation ceremonies Friday night in the auditorium of the school in Bridgewater.
Students gained career education degrees in 18 vocational programs ranging from automotive technology to the performing arts.
John Tamanas of Hillsborough was the salutatorian from the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences. Valedictorian was Suma Gondi of Basking Ridge.
The career and technical education valedictorian for the class of 2012 was Cisco student Jefferson McGregor of Warren, and the career and technical education salutatorian was carpentry student Seth Twombly of Somerset.
Somerset County Freeholder Director Patricia Walsh addressed the graduates.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the cafeteria.
