HILLSBOROUGH: Students see Black Hawk helicopter land at school

Students waved flags to greet a Black Hawk helicopter about to land at Woodfern Elementary School in celebration of Flag Day last Thursday.
Woodfern students got to see the helicopter up close and have photos taken in front of it. Later, students packed care bags with goodies to be sent to service members overseas.
The Woodfern HSA, along with Operation Jersey Cares and Rolling Thunder, organized the packing day.
Diane Movshin also presented the school with an American flag that her husband, Major Rob Movshin, had flown over Kandahar Air Force Base. They have two sons who attend Woodfern. The major was on the phone from Afghanistan (it was eight hours later there) and spoke to the school assembly.
