A total of 26 students were in the third graduating class of the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences to receive associate degrees from Raritan Valley Community College at the college’s commencement on May 19.
The Academy, a partnership between Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School and RVCC, offers educational opportunities to high school students interested in health and medical careers. Students earn an associate of science degree in general science/pre-health professional from RVCC and a high school diploma from SCVTHS.
Academy graduates will continue their education this fall at such four-year institutions as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cornell University, N.J. Institute of Technology, New York University and the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University.
RVCC’s main campus is located on Lamington Road in Branchburg. RVCC @ Bridgewater, located at 14 Vogt Drive, offers technical, trade, credit and non-credit courses.
