June 19-23
   Carnival: Manville Youth Athletic League annual event at Gerber Field on Duke’s Parkway, 6-11 each night. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday will be “one pay, one price” nights. Fireworks on Friday night (rain date: Saturday). Carnival games and food sales support group’s cheering, football and baseball programs. Registration will be open for these sports during carnival.

   Pool opens: Summer fun begins at borough facilities. Borough residents can register for badges, Monday-Friday, 2-5 p.m. in recreation offices on second floor in Borough Hall. Proof of residency required. 908-725-9478, ext. 121.

   Blood drive: Millstone Valley Council of the Knights of Columbus asks for donations at St. Joseph Parish, 34 Yorktown Road, Millstone, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at church parish center.    Korean War memorial service: Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 and its Ladies Auxiliary will conduct its annual remembrance ceremony at 7 p.m. at the post at 600 Washington Ave.

   Vacation Bible School: “IncrediWorld” will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 34 South Third Ave., 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Children entering kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to attend.    Public library book sale: Buy donated and surplus books to support the library. Non-sale hardcover books are 50 cents; soft-cover 25 cents each or by the bag for $2.
