Edward J. Papierowicz

Mr. Papierowicz, 85, of the Fords section of Woodbridge, died June 13, 2012, at the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Fords for the past 53 years. Prior to retiring in 1992, Mr. Papierowicz was a head operator for 41 years with Chevron Oil Co., Perth Amboy. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn section of Woodbridge. He was also an avid trout fisherman and a fan of the NewYork Mets and New York Giants. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, in 2004; a brother, John; a sister, Clara Chayko; and a son-in-law, Bruce Turcotte. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph Papierowicz and Donna Marie Pierson of Naperville, Ill., and Edward G. Papierowicz of Middletown; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol and Robert Thomson of Middletown and Janet Turcotte of Fords; six grandchildren, Michael and wife Rebecca, Brian, Catherine and husband Robert, Eric, Christopher and Caroline. Funeral services were held at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Fords, followed by a Mass at Good Shepherd Parish-Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn. Interment took place at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
